I need that power for recording, games and whatnot, so obviously I'm a little curious as to why my meek little System process, normally consuming 0-1% of my CPU, has suddenly become fat.Īfter a little bit of searching and downloading of a utility called Process Explorer, I was able to narrow down a solid 12% of the consumption to a file called xhcdrv.sys. ![]() So, today I noticed that my System process was consuming a hefty 13% of my CPU power - considering I have an 8-core processor running at 3.9 Ghz, that's kind of a big deal. ![]()
